ABOUT FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION
Fisher House Foundation is an organization renowned for its extensive network of comfort homes, providing military and veteran families with free lodging while their loved ones receive medical care. With nearly 100 homes located in major military and VA medical facilities throughout the United States and Europe, Fisher Houses offer up to 21 suites, each equipped with private bedrooms and baths.
The homes also feature shared facilities such as kitchens, laundry rooms, dining areas, and living rooms, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for families to stay in. Importantly, Fisher House Foundation ensures that families never have to pay for their stay. Since its inception, the organization’s program has saved military and veteran families an estimated $575 million in lodging and transportation costs.
The Fisher House Foundation Scholarship
The Fisher House Foundation offers several scholarship programs to support the education of military children and spouses. Here are some of the scholarship programs offered by Fisher House Foundation:
1. Scholarships for Military Children
This program provides scholarship grants to the children of active duty, reserve/guard, or retired military personnel to help them pursue their undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university. The program is available at all commissary locations worldwide.
2. Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships
This program provides scholarship grants to the dependent unmarried children of military members who died or became disabled as a result of their military service.
3. Scholarships for Military Spouses
This program provides scholarship grants to spouses of active duty or retired military personnel to help them pursue their undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
4. Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarships
This program provides scholarship grants to military spouses to pursue their undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
How to Apply:
